DyLight peptides

DyLight™ Dyes - high performance dyes for the most demanding applications.

Alta Bioscience is pleased to be able to offer peptides labelled with the DyLight™ range of fluorophores. Pierce Technologies have developed the nine DyLight™ compounds, which are a family of fluorescent molecules showing very high photostability and fluorescence intensity. These dyes are ideally suited for the most demanding experiments where the highest performing fluorophores are essential.

The primary advantages of these dyes are:-

  • A wide spectral range.
The dyes cover the excitation range of 400nm to 770nm, spanning the principle wavelengths used by most common instrumentation.

  •  Photo stability and intensity.
In many applications, the DyLight™ dyes show higher photo stability and fluorescence intensity than either the Alexa Fluor™ or the CyDyes™ .

  •  Wide usable pH range.
They remain highly fluorescent over a wide pH range, (pH4–pH9).

  • Good water solubility
Peptides synthesised with DyLight™ dyes can be readily solubilised.

  • Narrow emission spectra
This enables the use of multiple dyes with minimum signal crossover.

The dyes can be incorporated at any position in a peptide, although the N-terminus is the most cost effective site.

The DyLight-peptides are supplied lyophilised in amber glass vials.
HPLC and MALDI traces are  supplied with each product.

Protein labelling service
In addition to the dye-peptide products, Alta Bioscience is offering a protein labelling service, tagging your protein with the DyLight™ Dye of your choice.
